  1. If it were me I would clone the bud out & compare. It’s a beauty! I’m intrigued by the top 2 pics of your husband. I often use layers to create that type of look, are you describing something different? 🙂

    1. Hi Amanda. These were made with in-camera settings. My nikon has a multiple exposure setting that will blend it in camera for me. There is just one problem. They must be taken simultaneously. Some cameras give you a live view feature to view the blend before you snap, but mine did not. It was a guessing game as to what it would look like when it blended together. My first few tries were completely unsuccessful as it was hard to judge how close the trees/flowers were to the actual profile of the face. I had to keep running inside to snap the profile and outside to snap the trees. I’ll have to keep playing with it, maybe I am just not doing this efficiently, but it was fun to try it 🙂

      1. Wow, sounds like a real challenge! although its obviously a good fitness programme too! LOL. I cant imagine how you can take 2 pics at once, so judging by your pics you did really well with it hun. 🙂

  2. Hi Kristen – I love your experiments, I think I need to give that a try as well. In the flower one, like Wendy, I focused on the droplets, not the bud, so I don’t think it’s distracting at all.

    1. Thanks so much for the response Kiki! I like to try different things, I am so quickly bored snapping the same style every time. It feels redundant. When I have more free time, I’d like to pick 1 style a week and see if I can perfect it to my tastes before I move on to the next. So many things I would like to try. Street photography, levitations, I need better practice with my portraits (I don’t feel that they are sharp enough in the eye), so much to learn 🙂

  3. so creative! I enjoy all of them and I too was drawn to the water droplets on that flower…beautiful! I am hoping to get a macro lens one of these days 🙂

    1. Thank you Sherri! I saw it on youtube and I figured I’d have to try it. But with my style camera it was hard, because it didn’t give me a live preview of the overlapping photo so I had to guess where I wanted the branches and cross fingers that they would show up. It was a fun little experiment 🙂
